Bonza in bronze: Model Miranda Kerr wears a bronze Collette Dinnigan dress as she arrives at the AACTA Awards at the Sydney Opera House
She's the biggest model to come out of Australia since Elle Macpherson in the Eighties. So it was no surprise to see Miranda Kerr was one of the star guests at the inaugural Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards today.
The Victoria's Secret pin-up, 28, guaranteed plenty of publicity for the new awards as she arrived at the Sydney Opera House in a sexy bronze dress slit-to-the-thigh.
Clingy: The satin material showcased Kerr's lingerie model figure
The mother-of-one, 28, was her usual stunning self in the striking gown from Australian designer Collette Dinnigan, which she teamed with a pair of strappy heels.
Kerr was one of several big Australian names to present an award at the new ceremony, which replaces the former AFI Film Awards.
Clearly excited about her role, she tweeted photos from inside the architectural wonder of the Opera House.
Warm welcome: The Australian media were clambering for Kerr's attention
She wrote: 'At the AACTA Awards in Australia. The show is about to begin...
'Just finished at the AACTA awards. A wonderful night for Australian film and television!'
Kerr was at the ceremony as her role as the face of Australian department store David Jones, who were one of the sponsors.
Meeting the fans: Kerr delighted some fellow Aussie as she signed autographs and posed for photos
